Dutch Stitchers Hussif Kit

This is a new and very special kit which will be a joy to stitch. The design is worked on a piece of linen band so that it is very simple to make up. The design on the Hussif is made up of sampler motifs from antique Dutch samplers and worked in counted cross stitch with minimal backstitch. It is designed so that you can make up the design to create the integral pincushion as seen in the pictures.

On completion of the stitching, it is lined in a silky fabric which incorporates the eyelet ribbon and then you can add buttons to fix your tools in place. In addition to the Hussif, the pack includes the covered embroidered needlebook which is again stitched on linen band and can be stitched and made up in an evening.

This lovely boxed kit includes the colour and symbol charts, illustrated instructions, eyelet ribbon, wide eyelet linen band, plain band for the book cover, hand crafted needlebook from Kate Bowles, lion’s tail scissors, three gold-plated needles, chatelaine scissors, three CSG faux ivory tools and two faux ivory thread winders.
