Studio Flax Linen Threads – Winter Collection

I have mentioned that I have found some really gorgeous pure linen thread, and this is my own selection of seasonal colours. I sometimes find this season difficult because you need to include festive Christmas colours and yet winter colours tend to be drab. When I post the boxes to you each box does include 12 skeins of linen thread carefully dyed to replicate the colours from the original threads from the 1960s. Even with my son James’s lovely photographs, you cannot see how the colours just sing from the boxes and you will also know that that I cannot always count correctly!

This box includes two skeins of the really white in case you like me stitch lots of snow scenes! The threads are wrapped and boxed and include a chenille needle. The box measures 5 x 7in (12.5 x 17.5cm).

I have known the lovely Tanya for some years and we have attempted to match diaries and meet, but in the end it was just after lockdown and the pandemic that we finally got together.

Tanya’s story is fascination and well worth a read.
