A funny little corner…

There it was, just the thing I needed – The Tree of Life in rusty metal.

This is a strange little corner in the garden at Pinks Barn, just to the left of the front door. It faces north and is in front of the downstairs loo window, so doesn’t hold all that much promise. It was the log store when were moved in. I have tried all sorts of ideas in this nook but never been very pleased with the outcome – it would be a convenient place for the green bin but perhaps not just by the main door to the house.

After the tree man had come and tidied the silver birches in the grounds of the flats nearly, I was happy to take their off-cuts for our wood burners and they were pleased not to have to dispose of the debris. It came to me – a little woody corner with hostas and other twiggery and I am pleased with the result this time.

I have added what is left of my cartwheel after my grandson had finished playing with it and I was just thinking about a little bit of wall art for the painted wall when I visited the wonderful Saturday market in Stroud. There it was, just the thing I needed – The Tree of Life in rusty metal.
