The wet cement sky…

So lower maintenance is going to be the key, but I will need colour and lots of it.

Is it me or are our UK winters getting longer and greyer? I look out of my workroom window, and I almost feel that I am seeing things in black and white – or even sepia.  As a result, I am striking back with stuff to cheer us up… Last month I had the most wonderful tree surgeons here at Pinks Barn and later today a garden contractor is coming to discuss the new plans for my garden. With four trees gone, the light and the space is remarkable.

Over the past nine years I have worked on a cutting garden which until the current year it had been marvellous, but times are changing. I am changing along with the climate! So lower maintenance is going to be the key, but I will need colour and lots of it.  So enjoy these snap shots of the colour here at Pinks Barn in previous years and I will keep you up to date with the plans when I know what they are! I will continue to delay retirement for the foreseeable as long as someone wants me to work.
