Embroidery Pattern Book No 777

I wasn’t quite sure I could share this auction find with you as I was so attracted by a marvellous reindeer border in the chart pages! I have had stern words with myself, so here it is.

This recent auction find measures 3.75 x 5.5in (9.5 x 14cm) and will be supplied wrapped and boxed with one gold-plated needle.

The charts in booklets like this little Victorian gem are always worth a look. This one contains a number of interesting elements that would build into a sampler – the bands, borders and repeat patterns could easily be stitched in your favourite colour palette.

I was very lucky to get a small number of these booklets in a recent auction lot. I have to share them just to stop me adding even more to my newly organised workroom!
