Flowery Mead Needlebook & Scissor Safe

This needlebook is worked by hand including the folded hem. It is worked on 28-count Cashel linen and the stitches used include cross stitch, backstitch, buttonhole bars, seed pearls and French knots. I have added a button closure and hand-dyed wool felt pages.

The extra treasure is that I have attached a pair of divine tiny chatelaine scissors. These arrived this week from Italy and are simply beautiful.

The needlebook measures 2.75 x 4in (7 x 10cm) when folded and is supplied with four gold-plated needles and the scissors. It will be wrapped in Indian silk and gift boxed.

Some years ago, I designed a band sampler inspired by seeing a real flowery mead whilst visiting Cotswold Lavender and this was so popular, I added some stitching accessories to the range.
