Wild Carnation Needleroll with Pin Keep Closure

This unique treasure has hand stitched on pure 28-count linen, using stranded cotton (floss) and is completed with a folded hem. Worked in cross stitch, this needleroll also includes many composite counted stitches such as hemstitch, satin stitch, bullion knots, somersault stitch with beads, woven silk ribbon, and space-dyed queen stitch.

The completed needleroll is lined with silk and has a small pin keep attached by a twisted cord. It measures 3.75 x 10in (9.5 x 25.5cm) when unrolled.

It is supplied wrapped in tissue and gift boxed with three gold-plated needles and a tiny pair of gold-plated scissors.

This is my original sample piece designed as a ‘fiendish project’ for experienced students attending linen classes here at my home in the Cotswolds. Not for the fainted hearted as it included 20 counted stitches or techniques when I designed it as a kit. This is truly a one-off treasure and superb luxury gift for a fellow stitcher.
