Miniature Beaded Bristol Board Scrap

1 in stock

I have mounted this small Bible marker on a piece of linen without glass as it is decorated with tiny metal beads. It is framed and could stand on a surface or hung as preferred. The perforated paper is so fine you could work 25 stitches to the inch.

The story of this little treasure

The Victorians used perforated paper to create small vignettes for scrap books and sometimes the paper was cut into shapes and then multi-layered to create a sculptured look and the addition of tiny beads and silk ribbon was common.
