The Stitch Book (4th Edition)

4 in stock

My best-seller is updated again and for the last time! The Stitch Book is A5 format with 140 pages, spiral bound so that it lies flat when you are referring it. It does include some white space for notes and has a wipe-clean cover.

The whole Hardanger section has been re-designed and updated with the help of my Editor, Jenny Dixon, and the clever graphics of Ethan Danielson with even more stitches and techniques in the counted sections.

If you would like a book signed and dedicated just let me know when you order. Pop a note in the comments box at Checkout.

The story of this little treasure

I originally wrote the Stitch Book (1st Edition) because my New Cross Stitchers Bible was out of print and also because I wanted to create a simple stitch book. With a stitch or technique on one page and in alphabetical order, I was sure I would find it useful so perhaps others would as well. Sometimes you just have to go with your instinct, and thankfully I did. There are always more stitches to discover… Whilst visiting the Palazzo Sorbello in Perugia, Italy (as one does!) I studied Sorbello Stitch, invented by Romeyne Robert Ranieri di Sorbello, and saw examples of the stitch in the Sorbello Foundation Museum. I’ve now detailed it in this latest edition of the book.
