Strawberry Quick Make Kit
This pretty little strawberry shape pincushion is ever popular with stitchers all over the world and this clever version can be made in an evening. It may be made by hand or on a sewing machine. I have used the miniature version of my Secret Inheritance fabric and mine was made by hand.
In your muslin bag, you will find the patterned fabric, a paper template, instructions, beads and faux metal disk that forms the ‘leaves’ of the strawberry. You will only need to add sewing thread and either rice or polyester wadding to stuff the shape. If you want to add the beads at random as I have done, use matching thread and a size 10 sewing needle. The Strawberry measures 3 x 2in (8 x 5cm) when completed.

The story of this little treasure
As I was working on my Casket, I realised how much I liked the charts I had drawn and that it would be good to echo this elsewhere which is how I started planning printed fabrics.
This miniature version of my new fabric was a happy accident!. This linen and cotton mix fabric has been printed here in the UK from my counted patterns for The Secret Inheritance. These flowers and little creatures and bugs are all imagined from 16th and 17th century samplers and tapestries and combined from all the designs to create this special unique fabric.
