Tansy Scissor Chatelaine & gold-plated scissors

This sweet little scissor chatelaine uses a motif from one of my antique samplers, plus some simple flower motifs worked in cross stitch with added French knots. As I am sure you are aware, I have a vast number of scissors in my workroom and will often make cases or pockets for them. This one has a twisted cord made from the same threads and is self-lined. The tiny chatelaine scissor are fiendishly sharp and come from Italy.

I usually wear my scissors around my neck in my workroom, so I am not for ever dropping them on the floor! After stabbing myself in the leg on a trip to the loo once, I am now more careful!
