Following a Thread, Jane Greenoff’s stitching life
Yes, I have actually written my autobiography!
Following a Thread was going to be a little book about my discovery of cross stitch and all the places it has taken me. The trouble is that once you start to write about one event, happening or conversation, five more memories pop up that need to be included. Life is certainly stranger than fiction as you will discover if you read about how stitching has shaped my life – from skip dipping to an invitation to Buckingham Palace!
I am thrilled with the book and hope you like it! Following a Thread is 304 pages, soft back with a special wrap-around jacket printed with my very own fabric design.
I will be posting out copies from Monday 6th October.
The official launch will be on Sewing Street TV on Wednesday 1st October, so tune in just after 8am to join the lovely John Scott and yours truly hosting a special launch – a bit early for Fizzy I think! (Sewing Street has my book exclusively until the weekend but if you would like to order your signed copy from me – with pretty bookmark – you can order now to be posted next week.)

The story of this little treasure
When I gave a talk to a gathering of stitchers a couple of years ago, some members of the audience kindly commented I should write a book about my stitching life. I didn’t take this seriously at first but then started to think about it. I started to jot down a few stories late last year and it just seemed to grow and grow. It has been quite an adventure!
