Hardanger Sampler Book
This Hardanger Sampler Book was stitched by the late Jane Herbert and is quite simply perfect. I have goosebumps handling Jane’s version of my design and I know that she will be thrilled that it will go to good home.
This book examines the Hardanger technique and each page illustrates another range of stitches. The book measures 4in (10cm) square when closed and is supplied wrapped in acid-free tissue and gift boxed and will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery.

The story of this little treasure
These little stitched books have become a feature of Cross Stitch Guild Membership over the past 30 years. This versatile and creative way of learning and presenting all types of counted embroidery has become very popular and was introduced to our Members by Sue Hawkins (our Technical Editor at this time). Sue and I had taken a party of stitchers to Copenhagen and visited the Museum of Art and History where we were shown a little stitched book and that inspired Sue – and the rest, they say, is history!
Although this book cannot be repeated. you can still buy the complete kit from The Cross Stitch Guild and stitch it yourself.
