Catherine Archer Project Case & Scissor Keep

2 in stock

When I took the first delivery of my Catherine Archer linen, I knew that I would make myself a project case, but it has taken time to come up with just what I needed. I can keep my current project inside with the latest copy of Stolen Moments (the CSG magazine), my gold needles and my scissors with their own little scissor keeper. Perfect!

I do admit that having decided what I wanted, I was very happy to let my friend – another Jane – make these in quantity for me. In a busy moment, Jane H volunteered, and she is so good at making this kind of thing!

Each case is made from my Catherine Archer linen. It is lined in a deep red Dupion fabric with biased bound edges. The linen band across the inner lid is from Vaupel & Heilenbeck in Germany and can be used to hold scissors and as a needle band as shown.

Your Project Case will be supplied boxed with three gold-plated needles and a pair of gold-plated lion’s tail scissors attached with a twisted cord to the little matching Scissor Keeper.

Closed, the Project Case measures 9.5 x 9in (24 x 23cm). When open 9.5 x 14.5in (24 x 37cm).

The story of this little treasure

I have now crafted quite a number of items from my Catherine Archer printed linen, inspired by my favourite sampler. It was only when I looked back, I realised that there were quite so many. Well, who can say no to a matching accessory? It won’t be long before I dress myself in this fabric, I love it so much!

Should you like to see more, here are my creations.

Needleroll Kit

Workbox (very possibly my favourite thing!)

Needlekeep Book

Stitcher’s Companion

I can also offer a metre, or fat quarter of fabric for your own creations (please share what you make, I’d love to see). And the chance to stitch Catherine’s sampler for yourself. I hope you love it as much as I do.
