My Precious Needles Sampler Needle Fold

This folded accessory is a wonderful excuse to bring together lots of stitches and motifs. Amongst other treats, it includes a stylised peacock feather, a pulled and drawn section (including diamond hemstitch) and a hand stitched folded hem.

The needle fold is lined with another piece of evenweave, labelled to separate the different sizes of needles you need. A selection of 10 gold-plated needles are all lined up, ready to use.

The needle fold, when closed, measures 4 x 3in (10 x7.5cm) and has a buttonhole loop and button closure. It is supplied with a pair of Italian gold-plated stork scissors and will be gift boxed.

This project, like so many others, was designed for a linen class I help at my home at Pinks Barn. The class was an unusual as it was a weekend workshop. I had designed the class project as a mini band sampler and then had a spot of overnight inspiration and created to create this needle fold. You can imagine my class members’ surprise in the morning when the new version appeared!
